As I sit here this morning flipping channels with one hand and my computer on my lap, I can barely see either form of media for the tears welling up in my eyes.  This truly is a momentous occasion, not just to end the tyranny of the Bush administration, but to usher in a group of people who’s goal it is to bring the people of the United States (and the world) together.  The  events over the last several days has caused me cry like a little baby.  I most likely will do something today that Oprah refers to as “the ugly cry”, or what my dear Alabamians would call “squall”.  Yes, when you cry in an uncontrollable fashion it is called “squalling”.  Kids usually are known for it,  I will be a classic example of it come noon today.  This is what it looks like…

I love pomp and circumstance!

I am moved by the following photo and am so proud that we made this possible.  I am hopeful for our future!

“If there is anyone out there who still doubts that America is a place where all things are possible, who still wonders if the dream of our founders is alive in our time, who still questions the power of our democracy, tonight is your answer.”—Barack Obama, November 4, 2008

I’ve got to say once again, I love my house. There is nothing better than just hanging out around the house on a slightly chilly day. I hope that I am not becoming a hermit…but I am not sure how I would tell. Ok my fan, I am charging you with making sure I am not becoming housebound! But don’t rescue me too quick, I want to be just shy of agoraphobia before you intervene. Needless to say, I am having a wonderful weekend!
